AIS offers three different types of block ice makers. Each type is for relatively low volume applications. One type freezes 7-lb to 15-lb blocks of ice in stainless steel cans, another type freezes 10-lb blocks in specialty designed bags and the last type freezes ultra-clear 275-lb blocks used to make ice carvings.
Block Ice Presses
Block presses are a cost effective alternative to freezing blocks of ice. These machines hydraulically compress cube ice, ice pieces, or waste ice into sellable blocks of ice. AIS offers both a fully automatic, high capacity block press and a more economical manually operated unit.
