Automatic Ice - Block Ice Presses
Block presses are a cost effective alternative to freezing blocks of ice. These machines hydraulically compress cube ice, ice pieces, or waste ice into sellable blocks of ice. AIS offers both a fully automatic, high capacity block press and a more economical manually operated units like shown to the right.
Matthiesen Block Press 10-300
With an ability to automatically produce up to 300 blocks per hour, the Matthiesen Block Press adds speed and efficiency to a block making operation. This block press can convert all types of ice, including snow and chunks, into sellable, 10-lb blocks. Typically, ice is fed to the press by a screw conveyor, water is injected then hydraulically pressed into a consistent size, shape and weight block that is then discharged ready to package.
Features
• Stainless steel construction. All parts either Stainless,
Aluminuum or FDA approved UHMW
• Hydraulically activated system
• Efficient 7.5 HP TEFC motor
• Ice Block: 10.5 pounds (nominal), 6”x6”x10”
• Integrated bagger attachment with blower

Vogt MB-P10 Block Press
The Vogt® MB P-10 Block Press allows smaller ice manufacturers to take advantage of the cost savings method of making pressed block verses hard-frozen blocks. With the MB-P10 ice manufacturers can produce blocks quicker, and with less labor, maintenance and electricity, by hydraulically pressing their cube ice into 10-lb blocks. This block press will compact ice under 2500 PSI into blocks measuring 6” by 6” and up to 12” in length. Best of all, you can do it without a large capital investment of an automatic block press. To make a block, the operator only needs to fill the block chamber with ice, close the lid, and pull the lever. After compacting the block, the operator opens the lid and removes the finished block.
Features
• Easy, quick-latch design on lid
• Ice chamber is fully nickel-plated
• All exposed bolts are stainless steel
• Industrial-quality hydraulics
