The AIS feed auger is used primarily to efficiently elevate ice at a smooth continuous rate from the ice storage bin to the bagger hopper. This compact and movable feed auger has an adjustable height which ranges from 6’-10” to 8’-7”. All ice contact surfaces and framework is constructed of heavy-gauge stainless steel, and the ice is moved by a 9” stainless steel helicoid screw with a shroud-type cover.

AIS supplies and system integrates Matthiesen brand snow reels. This brand is unmatched in design and quality craftsmanship. Snow Reels function to remove undesirable by-product from quality, sized ice. AIS designs and installs ice distribution systems that automatically feed ice to the Snow Reel. At the reel, ice is tumbled through the screen mesh drum where undesirable snow, chips and fines fall through the mesh and quality cube ice is discharged. The quality cube ice is then sent downstream to ice packaging lines and the undesirable product is further processed or disposed of. A variety of sizes and configurations are available, and AIS will engineer the system to best suit your individual needs.
